Echovolution

Echovolution (ek-oh-vuh-loo-shuhn), a trademark owned by Jerico Macatangay. Yes, It's me! I am using this name to distinguish my work when I was a still a student. That time, everyone knows that Echovolution pertains to me. Hehehe. I started using this name in the year 2006, but how?

History
Back on the year 2006, when I was still a college student, I had a lot of projects I want to accomplish. Although Macromedia Flash MX wasn't our lesson yet, I tried learning it, making some of my first animations. Yeah! That time, someone also recommend me to learn Photoshop (image-editing software).

During those times, I am not aware of the so-called credits or the "creator signature" on images for examples. I also noticed that some animations have the "PRESENTED TO YOU BY *ANIMATORS_ALIAS*" or "*ANIMATORS_ALIAS* PRODUCTIONS" tagline. So I ask myself, what's mine?

I kept on thinking...until one of my classmate called me "Echovolution" as a joke. My first name was Jerico. My nicknames were "Jerick" and "Echo". I didn't ask my classmate how did she come up with that name, so I made my own speculations. LOL! I think "Echovolution" comes from "Echo" which is my nickname and "-volution" which sounds techy.

Since that day, I used the alias "Echovolution" to show that a project was created by me. I always place a "(c) Echovolution" on every image I manipulate. On the about page of everything I made, I place my alias. Yes, I used that name on everything (even on a domain name. Obvious?).

Now, Echovolution has gone so far.
